About Party Portraits NC

 Hi we're Party Portraits NC a Live Caricature Artist duo based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Our goal is to elevate the party caricature experience by offering live fancy caricatures that leave your guests smiling and with a cool complimentary caricature party favor.

Meet the Artists

 Penny has been a "creative" since childhood, and has always been drawn to faces, whether sketching, painting, collage, or mixed media portraits. So in 2022 when she saw someone on YouTube drawing caricatures in a livestream, she picked up her paper, pencil and marker and started drawing along. In the Spring of 2023, she decided to step out and begin drawing caricatures professionally; she has never looked back! She continues to hone her craft and always enjoys her interaction with people, while drawing them in a complimentary and cartoon version of themselves. 

Soon after starting, she met Jordan at a gig she had been hired to draw for, and the bonded immediately. They share a positive energy and a love for their craft that is felt by their guests and is reflected in their teamwork in Party Portraits NC. 

 

 Jordan has been drawing ever since she was a little girl and was known as the "Art Kid" in school drawing on the poster for the group projects. She went to Myrtle Beach, SC on a family vacation in 2002 when she was a freshman in High School. There, she got her first caricature drawing done live by the talented Eric Melton. Ever since she was in awe of caricatures but never knew you could do this as a full time job. 

During the pandemic of 2020 she had just given birth to her second daughter whom had colic and didn't sleep much or for long. She discovered a group of Caricature Artists on Instagram and saw that they were drawing virtual caricatures over zoom. She learned how to do it as well and was booking drawing virtual caricatures by Google, LinkedIn, VISA, Novant Health, BlueCross BlueShield and many many more. She started doing in-person gigs when the world opened back up in 2022 and has been a fulltime Caricature Artist ever since. 

She was so excited to meet Penny working at a graduation gig! They instantly clicked and have been drawing together as much as they can.
